Not sure why you say that, but thanks, nonetheless.

Hello Mark !

I stopped by to revisit my story about the US Air Force vet/

hitch hiker I picked up at Lovelock Prison on Hwy 80. He was going East to his

home in Detroit and I took as far as Rock Island before I turned south to

Kinmundy Illinois. It's great to that your site is still up on the web ! Best

Luck Always ! Sean Folsom the Bagpiper

Hey Sean. Thanks for stopping on shoulder of the

"internet interstate" to leave some words of your own for me to find!

Yes, while I haven't posted much in a good long while, I

have continued to go out on the road collecting messages and have made more

contacts with one-time thumbers. In fact, my wife and I met up this past July

with the "Carpenter from British Columbia" I note above, who also

volunteers at the annual Vancouver Folk Music Festival. He was kind enough to

arrange to get us for free passes to the event. An amazing time.

Also, she and I spent a month in Scotland in the Spring of

2023, where we got a chance to enjoy some bagpiping. And, while I have yet to

identify who the "Sean the Piper" is from the graffito, I'm glad you

and I have made this connection because of his message.

Keep on piping.

Down the road... Mark

As described on the home and intro pages of this website, I began this journey that hitchhiker graffiti has taken me on in 1992.  And I began creating and posting on and uploading onto this website in July of 2013.  So it has taken me about one-and-a-half years to get to this point of website development that I felt it time to start this blog--on New Year's Day of 2015. So contrary to a well-known quote on the subject, somethings can change on New Year's Day.  Happy New Year.
